Many people complain about this issue. Will look closer tonight.Taige wrote:Think I found a bug.. I was testing out AirPlay and the screensaver was on with GTVBox running. I started sending a video to it, and it started playing (the audio anyhow), but the screensaver was still running..
After hitting a button on the remote, I verified that if you leave it inactive (but playing), the screensaver will eventually kick in again.

Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox Video Player)
Does GTVBox player have these features?
- ability to press "play" button on a folder for playing all files within it.
- display first found jpeg image instead of folder icon
Are there any plans to provide Movie Jukebox feature?

I am thinking of YAMJ integration but this will take time.
The main feature in roadmap now: MKV subtitles. It appeared to be harder then I thought it would be.

Next version coming in couple of days:
- Should behave more stable when streaming from SMB (I've added some caching). But can slow down seeking...
- Slightly changed SMB authentication. Should help people who can browse protected SMB, but can not play them
- Someone asked about subtitles size. It will be changable.
- Fixed issue with screensaver
There is also a feature called "Extended MKV support". When enabled in Preferences, it will display Title of MKV Movie (instead of just it's file name). Also it will display languge code of an audio track. Not a big deal... but It shows that work on internal subtitles is in progress.

any chance of getting jpgs shown i,e, if you hover over a jpg can you say show it in a lower half or as a background?
i have cover art and description art in all my folders and this would be a real bonus.
are you accepting help by the way, im a software engineer by trade and would be more than happy to help out if you need any assistance?
(all FOC without question, this is your app!)

Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox Video Player)
Congratulations and Thank You on creating a very nice Video app.
In the 2.1 Logitech Video player I was able to hold down the Fast Forward button and skip quickly through an MKV file (MPEG4 - AC3) to anywhere in the timeline. The Logitech Player in 3.1 behaves differently. The timeline indicator moves along quickly as it did in 2.1 but it takes 5, 10, 15 minutes to advance the actual video. At first I thought the player had frozen. Simply changing the container to MP4 the behavior is restored to the same behavior as in 2.1 and holding the FF button skips quickly through the file.
Since the GTVBox player behaves the same could I assume that the problem is with the GTV/Android video controls or do you have any control over this. I have changed my script to use the MP4 container but it would be nice to have this work without changing containers on all my old files.

Yep. I've found the same with MKV files.zarthan wrote: In the 2.1 Logitech Video player I was able to hold down the Fast Forward button and skip quickly through an MKV file (MPEG4 - AC3) to anywhere in the timeline. Funny thing is that it worked on beta leak!

JPG are just filtered out - you see only video files.deviousrich wrote:good news on the coming release.

But I think i know the better solution for now... It will be easy to implement:
When you hover a video file, the player will look for a file with the same name and JPG extension (more like with subtitles) and when found will display somewhere at the bottom of screen (the same could be with a txt file). Is everyone ok with this?
Thanks for suggesting help, but I think I need a designer now more then a developer.

I think I will post this on the Logitech forums as a bug.mcd2000 wrote: Yep. I've found the same with MKV files.Don't know what to do with it for now...
