I followed all instructions..
I switched USB drives and it worked just fine. I did it with a Kingston 8Gb, plugged into the usb port closest to the Ethernet port.

i read that there is currently no way to go back to stock? are we able to go into recovery mode (non-rooted) and do a back up before installing the 3.1? or do we need the 3.1 release to get into recovery? also, will we be able to get the new OTA updates?

The answer to the question should be yes. Here is why I say yes. This is a leaked build but it shouldn't prevent you from manually updating your box to the official build.

When the official build drops, someone will need to monitor their network and sniff the update so that the url for the update zip is discovered. Once that is available and re-uploaded to one of the file share sites you will be able to download the update.zip and run it just like this one.

The only issue is trying to go backward. I imagine it's similar just like on android phones. Froyo bootloaders don't boot HC, HC Bootloaders will boot Froyo but in this instance it would be risky to try and re-flash the original update zip for the revue. Additionally, I don't believe that recovery mode has been found yet. Probably a new key mapping/combo to get into it from HC build.

It works for me. Now it's up and runnig.
Thanks for your great work!!!
Why it's Google waiting to release by himself the update?

By the way, if someone could double check it....
For me, it only worked the update when I removed ethernet cable.

Well, I have to say I love it, It runs much smoother than 2.1,Chrome opens within seconds compared to minutes on the old one. I only got Launcher Pro to work, and the one live wallpaper runs smooth, havent tried any other apps as of yet.One thing i would like to see is more programs within Spotlight, some of the stuff on there is crap.

Everyone asking to get back into recovery once on HC 3.1, can you try something for me? I'll do this when I update my box tonight but until then.

If you are familiar with adb please run the following command.

adb reboot recovery

Basically you need to connect your computer with the adb.exe (via android-sdk/platform-tools) to your revue via usb. Then you can run

adb devices

to see the device

and adb reboot recovery to reboot the device into recovery.

also if you wanna set it up for wifi access just run the following command:

adb tcpip 5555
adb connect IPAddressHere:5555

to switch the revue back to USB, just run:

adb usb

I'll give it a try, but I'll have to get a USB male/female adapter just to connect it to my PC.

I just installed it. Everything went smoothly. Totally worthwhile. The interface is nicer. I haven't seen any more bugginess than was present with the official release. I got the amazon app store loaded up and even pulled down a functional copy of the solitaire app. Most apps say they aren't compatible with the device, but some of the more simple ones seem to work just fine.

Awesome....Everything worked without a hitch. The interface so much much nicer, and I love the movies and whats on interface.
I have been abusing it trying to make it break and have so far only found one major glitch thats pretty annoying. When coming back from the market or another app and going straight to Live TV, (pressing the home button, and selecting "Live TV") its muted. And I have to open the guide on my Dish network DVR to get sound back. I did notice that during setup there is a built in volume within the honeycomb update. So if your volume keys are not programmed for the TV they only work on the GTV volume.

I did also find a nice easy way to install custom Apps. After going to settings and enabling manual app installs you can download a file manager from the Market (Just search for "file" while in the market and download one of the first two in the results). It took a minute or two after clicking install for it to download and install. Don't click on it right away when it says open. It won't work, give it a minute or so.
Go online from your Chrome browser and search and download an APK.
Go to your all apps menu and open the file manager you installed, and go to downloads
Select the APK you downloaded and boom......it installs the app.

So far I got a build of netflix for the Asus transformer to open, but it force closes after it loads. Same thing for many of the other apps I tried. But hopefully some one can help out and get a working build together using this method. Hope it works for everyone else as it did me.

Equipment:
Logitech Revue
Dish Network VIP 722 DVR

***********Addition to comment*************
DVR integration from my Dish network DVR worked flawlessly. I had to reset my DVR and allow it to reconnect before it would allow sync. But everything worked out just fine. Even the app from my phone worked just fine, and was able to control my TV, Dish, and Sound system from my remote and phone. So far the only glitch is the sound glitch. Netflix is so far the only thing missing from the previous version of GTV.
