Problem with channel lineup

I just got the new streamer yesterday and i'm not that happy with it.
No matter what i do i can't use the TV & Movies app, it will only change to channel 2,3,or 4. I went through the set-up stages 3 times and still nothing. Unlike the Logitech Revue, the Sony doesn't give the option to manually enter your cable box. The streamer also doesn't like working with my Samsung TV, or my JVC receiver.
