I've been sideloading apps for awhile but it's really annoying when you have to update apps that work perfectly fine from the play store manually. I've seen hacked market apps on XDA before that allow you to install apps that weren't meant for your device, does anybody know if the same can be done for rooted GTV boxes? Just a thought

Can't be done without root because you can't replacing the Vending.apk (Goople Play) in /system/app. You will get a key mismatch because even if you sign the package it won't match the signature Google gave it.
