Equalizer App & GTV shut-downs

Recent 40GT1 scare 
(had me looking for 40GT1 shipping cartons)
1) Installed 2 App updates
2) GTV would start, briefly go to TV & then Shut Down (following Eco & Equalizer settings pop-up's)
3) Recalled something about Equalizer update failing, with "App is incompatible" message
4) Reset all Equalizer effects to "Off"
5) GTV now back to normal Start Up
