Boss came in, says "I need this on the newest OS."
Me: What is it?

That says a lot =/

So, heres the chain of events.

- I found it's on beta of HC.
- I know I have to do this before I can do this
- I'm in ADB, when running adb root to patch this thing so I can then upgrade to the legitiamte 3.1, I get "adbd cannot run as root in production builds"
- More searching says I have to update ADB? That right?

I came this far from not know what googleTV was earlier today and I'm exhausted.
Will one of you good-hearted fellows give me a nudge in the right direction?

What commands tell me what builds of google tv and userdebug I'm on? My mind is sludge.

you need to be in the user debug, there is the beta HC, UserDebug HC, and now the official. Go to settings>about>Build.
