hey guys im trying to update my revue to the first release of 3.1 but i keep getting "signature verification failed" when i try to install it. Anyone know how to fix this? ive tried 2 different files and both did this.

Try going back and starting over,

1) format the usb with a program other than the one you used the first time.
2) make sure the file name is "update.zip" not "update.zip.zip"
3) do not unzip the file onto your usb, just put it on the usb and leave it alone.

Those three are the most common mistakes made,i did all three myself.

Please go back and read the forums carefully, there is another person on here right now who just updated with no problems.

i redid all those steps, still nothing. never ran into this kind of error when doing this on my phone

Do you have a different usb stick to try?
Try using the other usb port on the Revue....

I have to ask only because it has happened before, you are installing the right update file correct???

i am, i tried multiple too. i heard theres one on the gtv dropbox, can you link me to that and ill try that one?

still nothing. this is getting frustrating.

You tried downloading multiple versions or tried the same version multiple times? I'd guess you're either installing the second update, you have a corrupted download, or it's being corrupted during the copying to the USB drive.

1) Try a different format utility for formatting the USB drive.
2) Make absolutely sure you're downloading the first 3.1 update.
3) Try downloading it and copying it on another PC.
4) Wait for the official update.

Those would be my suggestions.

im gonna try and d/l it on my pc instead of macbook. will report back

it must have been the fact that my macbook automatically unzips when it downloads, so before i had to recompress into update.zip

my pc worked just fine, its updating now.
