WD MyBook 3TB Always Shows as "Damaged"

When I plugin my Western Digital MyBook 3TB USB 3.0 drive it always reads as "damaged" and says I might need to format the drive. I have tried:
Single 3TB NTFS partition (primary)
Single 3TB exFAT partition (primary)
Single 3TB FAT32 partition (primary)
Single 1TB NTFS partition (primary) (rest of the drive left unused)
Single 1TB NTFS partition (logical) (rest of the drive left unused)
One 1TB NTFS partition (primary) and one 2TB NTFS partition (primary)
Each time it's always the same. Interestingly enough when I used two partitions it recognized both and labeled each one as damaged.
I also have a Seagate 1.5TB USB 2.0 drive and that one reads perfectly. It is also formatted as NTFS.
I'm wondering if the WD MyBook 3TB has a general incompatibility with the Revue or if it's the drive's size of 3TB that is causing the issue. The general incompatibility could perhaps be the USB 3.0 chipset inside the MyBook? I'm just looking for some opinions here.
