I am tempted to get a revue now that they seem to be getting somewhere good with the firmware. my question is; will it be able to handle streaming 1080 mkv files from a media server?

Ya, I'd like to know that too. I have a new Revue and put the firmware on it, but don't have any 1080 MKV files to test with. The mediaplayer app looks nice, and handles my low res MKV files now.
Where can I get some 1080 from to test with? I'll let you know if they work or not.

phiednate, can you clarify what you tested - setup, bitrate, stream from where, file, etc?

I try this site, but get stuck with a stupid pop up that wants me to fill out a survey...no way I'm doing that. Got any other sites I can try?

So when clicking on a movie, harry potter, for example... Does it give the options below? If so, when clicking on putlocker or megavideo does give the option to stream?
Damn I hope it works... It's amazing to be able to stream movies straight to the.
Thanks for testing it btw.

I've noticed, that it is now possible to stream almost all formats using HTML5 capabilities of Chrome. Looks like it uses the same engine as Logitech player. So you can, for instance, put MPEG2-TS file to your webserver and watch it on a web page. You can even move back-forward.
Google has examples how to do this:
