anyone successful with rooting onhub lately?

Subject says it all anyone tried this recipe lately??

ie if so what brand/model of usb key was used..? usb 2 or USB3 ..

did you face the low one beep when attempting to boot the ssh kernel from the USB key, ie using dev switch to reboot from the key after hearing the 2 higher pitched beeps from the dev mode boot?
if so how did you get around the low pitched beep and not booting the USB key?

did you start from a onhub that has had the USB restore procedure run? did you use usb2 or usb3 for the restore key..(successful in my case from the USB2 keys)

or did you root an onhub fresh out of box from google..

Hi all!

I'm facing the same issues as above, does anyone have an update on this?

The OnHub doesn't seem to boot from the USB drive created from the image, or at least doesn't have the SSH/Telnet services/ports running and open. I'm using a USB2 drive and I'm hearing the single beep when I press the developer switch after the two beeps on boot.

I also noticed that the IP has changed from the instructions from 192.168.86.1 to 192.168.84.1 on mine.

Having the same issues myself. Have tried many different times with different USB Drives and burning the img from a Mac and a PC.

Possible an update has put a temporary block on this?
