Hi everyone,
I just caught my Hisense trying to update to 2.31a after ran the root, which included the pulse modification package. luckily I caught it in time, but I was wondering if anyone has run into this or has any suggestions on how to verify/reblock the auto update. Thanks in advance.

Hisense trying to update after root?
Re: Hisense trying to update after root?
Yes this happened to me. The first was right after I had added the Pulse Script, but before changing the User Settings on Chrome. It tried to update automatically, but I managed to catch it the first time.
Unfortunately, I was not so lucky the second time
I had been in rootland for about two full days, and suddenly I turned it on and it said "Your Google TV Has Been Updated"...
I don't know if they added an automatic patch, or if it just cued itself up on boot and I am pretty darn sure I followed the instructions to the wire... But my hopes and dreams of a rooted GTV has been short lived I'm afraid...

Re: Hisense trying to update after root?
hello.
i have rooted my pulse with the sh script.
thanx for that nice work.
but i was afraid to connect the device to the internet, to prevent updates.
but without connecting it one time with the internet, the most menus are not visible.
okay, after conneting to the internet and rooting, i saw this threat.
and now i am afraid about a automatic firmware update, too.
is the HOSTS file not manipulated?
i think it is the easiest way to prevent the update.
no big deal, on a rooted device, in case you know the update URL.
