Hello, finally figuring out the best way to use my new Co-Star and GTVBox. I've had to use MP4Tools on Mac for several files in order to transcode DTS to AC3 audio while passing thru AVC video, which has worked quite well.

My problem is with a particular file which won't play on the Co-Star. Can you look at the MediaInfo and tell me why?

Thanks!

Anyway, looking forward to Opensubtitles.org integration, which I understand you are working on. This will make GTVBox full featured in my eyes (I know everybody has different priorities). Happy New Year and keep up the good work.

I downloaded another version of the problem movie. It still doesn't play in GTVBox but DOES work with the standard media player. If I can help you figure out why the media below doesn't play let me know. At the moment it's sort of a gamble whether GTVBox will play a file I download, unlike my existing setup which is Boxee on my AppleTV. The problem with my existing setup is that it doesn't play HD video.

Conversely, it'd be even better if GTVBox implemented Apple File Protocol (AFP) someday, for mounting shares.
Try SMBup (http://eduo.info/apps/smbup), it has worked well for me.

How do you stream files to gtvbox?
I stream to GTVBox using a SAMBA share on my Mac 10.6.8. No DLNA. This file doesn't work either when attached to GTV via USB drive. The files does play using aVia media player.

Could you send me the file somehow?

Stop... Try to rename it to smth simple like 1.avi. It could be a naming issue...

:? Well that makes no sense. I'll test again tomorrow to make sure I'm not crazy.

Nope, not crazy, this file won't play on my Costar device.
