zerodark wrote:The player is solid; but I can't get subtitles/srt files to work. The video files and the srt files have the same filename, and they work fine on my laptop (on VLC).

I'm also seeing some files that work fine on my laptop, but aren't playing on GTVBox.

I'm using the app on a Sony Google TV, playing off of a thumb drive.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
Not sure if this is still the case since I haven't updated the app in a while but for me to see subtitles I had to go into the app preferences and choose a character set first.

Are there plans to support DTS?

I have a couple movies with different audio tracks. and tried to hit O.. But when doing so the app force closes. Any one reported this bug yet?

I do notice it stuttering when trying to play MKV's, es file explorer plays them fine but with no audio. Is this a known issue also?

Any help with this would be great!!! I am buying the app right now so I can show my support/receive updates. Let me know. Thanks!
The O button should switch the optical output mode of a Revue. It is not exactly what you want. But it is strange that it quits. What beta firmware do you have?
To change audio track plz use Alt or A button!
I see no way to support DTS for the Revue for now as It is unable to decode it by hardware. I suppose it is some licencing issue for logitech.

Update: From another topic here, I've noticed you are using the latest (UserDebug) leak. This firmware was reported to have issues when playback some formats. Maybe It has some issues with the API. I'am using the first leak to develop the app.

For iPhone/iPad/iPodTouch users:
I am now working on some Airplay support for GTVBox app.
Check this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUZJemGAiLk

It is able to stream local videos and photoes and some online videos. No music support yet (AirTunes protocol is much more complicated). Unfortunately, most online video apps require Apple HTTP Live Streaming support. It's funny, that GoogleTV HAS code for live streaming! It can parse an m3u8 playlist and download peaces, but... than it fails (Revue first leak). Looks like they are developing it but not ready yet.

Once again I need some help from Sony users (as I only have Logitech).
Could someone get APK of Sony's default Media Player out of the device and post it to Dropbox? Maybe it has some features to implement, which Logitech does not.
Thanks in advance!

I think, it is LocalMediaPlayer (both .odex and apk). I would also look at YouTubeGTV. ;)

I uploaded both as zip files to the root of the shared dropbox account.
