Ok just tried the skip all steps I can and still get the network is unavailable error.
Hate to say it, turn off modem, turn off router, turn modem on, turn router on, retry?MechDragon79 wrote:Ok just tried the skip all steps I can and still get the network is unavailable error.

I never got that message, and I doubt their servers are getting hammered, went through the first time for me.

I have tried factory reset in the recovery menu I can't get out of the setup to get to the setting on HC.viking wrote:I had the same issue. It worked fine after I skipped all steps and did a factory reset from settings.
Looks like Server issue is when its trying to update the device info using your existing Google account. A factory reset will remove the account and clear all data and after that mine was absolutely fine as it started from scratch not the step I was already in i.e. it started with the first step of setting the screen size.
Hope this helps.

gdeeble wrote:Step 8 or 9 is the STB step, if you go back and then select I don't have a STB, then the rest of the steps hit "Skip Step" what happens? Also you said you're wireless or wired? I know with WiFi I keep having some trouble with the Revue and My WRT310n using WPA2 and have to reset both for them to link but once they are linked up it's golden again. Also, you said you did the factory reset and started at step 1 since this happened?
well I just notice something odd I can skip and cancel step 11 of 11 about 2 or 3 time then get a black screen with a 6 inch long and 2 inch tall rectangle in the middle of the screen.MechDragon79 wrote:gdeeble wrote:Step 8 or 9 is the STB step, if you go back and then select I don't have a STB, then the rest of the steps hit "Skip Step" what happens? Yes I have done the skip of all devices and it still tries to update controller and I have tried with wired and wireless connection with is odd because I have cat6 Ethernet which is a good cable and didn't give any error before HC. Yes done factory reset and even redone the update a few time with same result but I'm thinking about getting new USB stick and try with fresh USB stick and see if it helps.
Then did a ctrl+alt+del reboot and it took me back to 11 of 11.MechDragon79 wrote:well I just notice something odd I can skip and cancel step 11 of 11 about 2 or 3 time then get a black screen with a 6 inch long and 2 inch tall rectangle in the middle of the screen.MechDragon79 wrote:gdeeble wrote:Step 8 or 9 is the STB step, if you go back and then select I don't have a STB, then the rest of the steps hit "Skip Step" what happens?
