Everything updated well, but I would like to know how to get the hulu work around. Could someone PM me?
Thanks
Thanks
I am having the same issues. I installed the 3.1 Beta just fine. Got the the setup screens and skipped though the setup. I unplugged the Revue and plugged it back in to continue on to the UserDebug update. The Revue doesn't go past the Logitech Revue Logo screen...TheRealJohnConnor wrote:Update: So, thanks for the suggestions. I will switch to using the right vs. left USB port when I return home.
I am also nervous that I may have bricked my Revue. It will not go passed the Revue logo anymore. I'm leaving it unplugged for a few hours to see if that helps. Any suggestions?
Should try. I haven't had success getting adb over wifi to work. Terminal emulators don't seem to work.danger-rat wrote:su is there, but the permissions are set up to use from within the OS - you would have try adb. You may be able to chmod the su binary to enable full root - haven't tried yet...havikx wrote:i dunno if you guys are aware...but after the 3.1 beta... there is a new way to access recovery. you need to press the connect button on the back of the revue 1 second after you turn on the device...then press alt l at the next screen. hopefully this helps. keep trying. i know people have gotten it to work after a power failure.
zeno, if your still watching... you said in the op that software root was in this build but i am unable to set superuser permissions. is it the version of super user i'm using or is it adb root only? i understand that the important stuff like /system and the kernel are still signed.
Hey, Thanks!!! on my first try when the scrolling and gtv arrow popped up hit alt+L and boom into recovery!bigbob wrote:I had alot of issues installing this update. Tried different thumb drives and memory cards and that didnt work. What I did to get it to install was when the tv with the arrow pops up after hitting alt + L, I let the progress bar scroll for about a second or two then I tapped alt + L again and then it started to format then finally went to the recovery from there i flashed the leak. I had to try this several times but finally got it to work. Hopefully this will help the others having trouble.
There is a DropBox account that everybody shares here on the forums, it has pretty much everything that will work on the Revue,First thing you should do is install DropBox,then Install Orientation Control.ashawki wrote:Hey guys. Everything worked fine with me.
I also tried lot of applications, and here's what I found:
1. Apps that didn't install or force close when start:
-Gmail v2.3.5 or v3.2
-Google music v3.0.2 (But the website works fine but hard to manipulate)
-Dolphin for pad v1.0
-Opera mobile v11
-Tunein radio
-Zinio reader
-Moxier mail (Setup worked fine but the app didn't open)
-Megaviewer stream pro (Opens but says it needs flash player)
-Fizz weather
-Witiz weather
2. Apps that didn't work because there is not a portrait mode for this application
-KIdsopedia
-Yoo ninja plus
-Go book
-Go weather 1.9.9
3. Apps that really worked:
-Google reader (Works in phone mode but looks good anyway)
-greader pro (Tablet mode, Recommended)
-k9-email (Works in a phone mode)
-Kaiten mail (Tablet mode, Still not visually good)
-All moxier appsother than mail, like calendar & contacts & notes
-File expert (Works great, Recommended)
-Singsing
-Quickoffice HD (Works great and integrates in all the cloud apps like Google Docs, box.net, SugaSync, DropBox, Mobile Me, Recommended)
-Facebook v1.7.1 (Sometimes force closes in news feed but works fine with other categories, like friends & groups & messages & photos)
-Kids Mode v3.3.0 (aka zoodles) (Works but also says it needs flash player, but the Art & books part work fine)
-Animated weather widget
That's all I have. If anyone else tried anything, please let us know...
Edit: I tried installing flash player 10.3 and it did install, but the Google Chrome didn't show the flash parts and after I removed the flash player, it returned to normal and worked great...
