I'd like to ask this question again since user hharte was able to use native code in his Terminal app and have it show up in the Market. Do you think it possible for GTVBox to support DTS on the Revue through software? Maybe using something like libdca?

http://www.videolan.org/developers/libdca.html
It would be interesting only if we would be able to decode it to 5.1, and output as DD 5.1. I'm going to test this soon.

All we potentially can do here is to decode DTS to 5.1 PCM so Ruvue's hardware encoder could encode it to DD5.1.

Yep, the Revue encodes everything in DD5.1 before outputting. Even stereo sources.

Well that is better than nothing. Any ideas when you might be able to get that going??

I cannot get this to work with samba. I have a samba server set up with minimum configuration. It can be found easily by other computer in the network, both linux and windows boxes. But GTVBox Player always complains "workgroups not found". I have GTVBox Player from the group dropbox dated 11/05/11. please help.

Did you test direct connection by ip or network name?

yes, I tried both IP and network name. This is getting more interesting and it might not be a problem with the video player. I tried to use ES File Explorer to find the server, it cannot find it either. However, ES can find the server from my phone. Any idea?
