I think most of us are already converting our files anyway to get around the lack of DTS support on the Logitech. Then when I am converting a show/movie for my kids, I know to make it an AVI so they can resume it if needed. Just a thought.

Thanks again for an awesome app!
v. 0.5 is under testing now. It supports resume for avi/mov/mp4/m4v.
I just downloaded the 4.0 version from the dropbox account it looks much cleaner, but I have realized it still has trouble playing certain .avi files. Will this be resolved in the newer version?

I suppose your avis are just not compatible with gtv...

sorry if this has been asked but I watch a lot of anime and I was wondering if it's impossible for vobsub support to come in the future for this app/platform. Thanks!

Also I was wondering if it was possible to get basic image/slideshow support, basically make this into a real DLNA replacement

Vobsub is not yet supported.
But it has limited support for [fish-sticks] styling.

I didn't think about slideshows... You can find lots of apps in the Market for that purpose. I think it would be hard to compete. :-)

I bought this app because is the best app for my NSX-32GT1 Sony TV! Thanks! really worth a few bucks! now The only thing missing is the support for this streaming:
http://ntmc.novotempo.org.br/tvnuevotiempo-vivo.asx
and rmvb files. I know maybe this is a codec issue and hard to implement. can u take a look, please?

Thanks dude!

Unfortunately, it is impossible to support realmedia format.
WindowsMedia (your asx link) is in roadmap. It is not very hard to implement, but will take time. There are to protocols: mms and ms-wmsp (http based). They need different code to support them. Usually mms is just a redirector to http. But not always, I suppose.

Thanks MDC. Seems my bucks worth more now! :)

Two questions:

1) I can't find the apk in the GTVHacker Dropbox. Am I just missing it, or is it gone? ( I saw someone said they downloaded it just a few days ago...)

2) Does the app identify (or have an option to do so) movies/shows you've already watched? Like can I mark a television episode as "viewed" or "watched", so I know where to start watching next time? I'm not wanting to resume playback, just wanting to know (visually) that I've watched, say, episodes 1, 2, 3, and 4, but that I haven't yet watched episode 5.

Thanks!!

/Kevin

I've got some divx 3 and 4 videos which gtvbox and the built in media player won't play. Does gtv just not support older divx? My computer of course plays them as does the xbox 360.
