Could you, please, test MPEG2 playback, for instance some VOB file from a DVD?

I did the following :
-inserted a DVD on my Mac(garden state mpeg2)
-added the Mac as a smb share on mt gtv
-was able to browse through the DVD contents from gtv
- tried opening the VIDEO_TS.VOB file, didn't work, force closed
-tried opening the VTS_01_0.VOB type-files and either got really distorted, FC after 2seconds or audio out of synch

I might not be testing it the rright way...please advice if so. If there's any debug logs or way I can help furthur, please let me know.

Hm. I suppose, if you try to stream files from a DVD directly, they should be encrypted. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_Scramble_System

Please, try to play one of these demos: http://www.demo-world.eu/trailers/dolby-trailers.php

GTVBox Video Player v0.1 in Android Marker. $1.99. If you like the app and want to help, please buy.
Anyways, still free on GTVHacker dropbox, when original password will be restored. :D

I have two different Sony Google TVs (different sizes), and both have a problem connecting to my SMB server set up on Ubuntu 11.10. username:password@ip doesn't work, either. Discoverability for SMB is spotty and reports back that it can't find workgroups most of the time. If it does find my workgroup it can't find a server. I'm pretty sure I just have my SMB server set up wrong. Do you have any tips on how to set it up?

So, i tried the "Game" and "headphone" dolby demos, in both i get the following scenarios:
-> as soon as i open the vob, GTV disappears from the screen, leaving me with my wallpaper image
-> after like 10 seconds i get the Force CLose screen
-> if i dont FC and wait a bit more, the video starts playing behind the FC screen
-> once video starts, it plays for only 10 sec, then it stops for 20 seconds (seems like it buffers) and then it resumes. cycle goes on for the remainder of the vob.
-> if i start video playback from start it will play with no pause.
=====
i'll keep on testing as needed! just let me know.

Unfortunately, I have the same issues with my Macbook. When I set up password, it can not connect.
Also, It only finds workgroups, when my Windows PC is on. :-)
Actually, I recommend not to use accounting. I've added this when some people reported, that it worked for them. Sorry...

Heh. Good thing here, that it displays something at all! I was afraid, MPEG2 is not supported.
Could you catch a log file?

Damn! Who changed dropbox password? The last version now here: http://player.gtvbox.net/downloads

This looks like a really great app. Keep up the good work. Would you be able to adjust the application to include audio and photo playback?
