I'll try 0.27 later. Already tried disabling caching but it didn't help. It's still possible that my source files are just screwy.
EDIT: the couple of source files I played before were bad. Other .avi files work fine. Sorry for the false alarm.

I have an issue with some (not all) mkv files, seems to be releated to multiple audio tracks and DTS on a ntz-gt1 bluray player.. It pauses every so often with these videos like it is not able to stream the content correctly.. I thought the caching would help, and it might some. The paid version is much nicer than the free one. But I would love to find an answer here. My next thing to do is to put the exteranal drives on anohter PC, and if that don't work I will try the files on an internal drive.

If your file has large bitrate (more than 10Mbits/s), there can be many factors preventing it to stream smoothly...

Is it possible to add rmvb support?

Yeah the caching has not helped my SMB streaming of full HD videos much. They still work fine with this player when combined with upnplay.

Thanks. I will test and add them to file explorer filter in the next version.
Just updated and now am able to see and play .m4a files. Thanks!

However, this gave me an idea; though I don't know if it is workable. I've noticed people mentioning concerns for having parental control for some things on the GTVs. Might it be possible to create such a pop-up for those who may have a share they prefer to keep restricted. They could enter all the share information normally except the password. Then, when they try to access that share a pop-up asks for the password, and it is only retained temporarily, while the share and application are open.
Like I said, I don't know if it is workable or not. I thought might also address my network's issue.
Thanks again for your efforts.
Good idea. Thanks. I think I will make it like: if you provide username in settings, but not password, it will ask you, when clicking on a tab.
