No Eligible Device Detected in Google Play

Post by gomnamak »

How does one overcome the Device Eligibility detection in Google Play?

I have two Revues. One has a lot of apps that i downloaded from Google play a long time ago and they all work well. in my second unit when I try to download the same apps, Google Play says:

No Eligible Device Detected

Obviously Google Play is wrong, since I am running the same app in my unit #1.

When I called Google Play they blamed the app provider.

Any help is appreciated.

They are probably right. The apps have probably been updated and either no longer support the older GTV or at least removed them from the list.

The other option is.. any chance you sideloaded the apps on your old revue? That's how most of my apps got installed.

As for a solution, side loading is probably your only option.

Thanks for the explanation.

Sorry, I am not sure what side loading means and how it is done. Is it possible to download the app from my existing unit that is working with the old app version? and reinstall it another unit?

Thanks
