I have been looking at the GTV wiki and it appears that there is a new way to root. They talk about the first exploit, which was patched.

There is a link to all the sony updates and the [[Sony Asura 2012.01.26 (Android 3.2) - Exploitable]] is available for download.
I am not sure how the two processes overlap. Do we do the downgrade and then do the exploit (4 usb sticks)? On the "sony unsigned kernels (sw root)" page, they talk about downgrading. is that a secondary downgrade, after you have done the downgrade to 3.2??
Thanks in advance.
Confusion on rooting

OK, let me streamline the question....
Can people with the latest software root their tv's now? Can you use the downgrade process?

Re: Confusion on rooting
This is the process I am curious about:

Will this process allow you to downgrade the latest firmware version to the exploitable 3.2?

Oh, that was sad to read. Nobody came to help you? That sucks because I have the same question. Bummer.
