Confirmed Working Apps

So I was thinking, since we're looking for working apps, and side loading some, why not create a Dropbox where we can all share and upload the apk's we find working. This would make it easier than hunting through the App Market right now since 90% of the downloads refuse due to the fact that they say "Not Compatible....". And with it try to keep it where they show the name of the app for easy filing(ex. TasKiller.apk vs. com.taskiller...apk). Who all would be up for that?

Sounds good to me,Im tired of going through the market and hitting Install then the back button all day

Google maps 5.8 works

I got Maps to install, but it keeps asking me to sign in, i fill in the fields,and then it says that account is already registered to this device,and the Add a Google Account box wont go away,it just keeps popping up,

Tried about 5 side keyboards, but finally fround one with cyrillics working

Alt+Shift is not the most comfortable to wich but now can search and browse on cyrillics

I have an non-rooted HTC EVO 4G, my question is,how do i get this App on my GTV, I searched the files on my phone, cant find anything, i cant download it from the market on my TV, so i cant figure out how to side load it..................

You can't unless you're rooted. Market APKs are stored in an access controlled area of the file system which can only be accessed by root.

You can even if you don't have root. Download ASTRO file manager, and in the tools section there is a "APK backup" function. Select the APKs you want, and back them up. They will show up on your SD card under a folder called backups. You can then side load those onto the GTV with dropbox or something else. I think some guys are using USB sticks too.

I installed the app,Orientation Control, but it screwed up my directional pad on my keyboard, up,down,left and right became the ok button, i had to uninstall...............

maybe it should be app that make sense for tv.. alot of what i see folk trying to install make no sense for a box connected to a tv..i still haven't gotten the tv cam to work in 3.1 update . or any web cam app..

That's really based on opinion though. What may not make any sense for one person might be useful and make sense for another.
