Yes. Under network it says readyshare. I've tried to manually try to add the smb a bunch of different ways but no luck.

You should try something like \\ipaddress\sharename on your PC. When it works, try smb://ipaddress/sharename on GTVBox.coronanlime wrote: PC just picks it up. So does my WDTV Live. GTVBox doesnt though
By the way, what error do you receive on GTVBox?

I am getting authentication errors, but shouldn't because it is not password protected.mcd2000 wrote:You should try something like \\ipaddress\sharename on your PC. Anyway, I tried \\192.168.1.1 and it popped open the network folder, as well as \\readyshare. They both worked but cannot get in through GTVBox

There are problems with WD readyshare very often. I dont know why actually.coronanlime wrote:I am getting authentication errors, but shouldn't because it is not password protected.mcd2000 wrote:You should try something like \\ipaddress\sharename on your PC. Try using guest/guest as login/pasword. Or try to setup some password on your server.

I think I need to call Netgear to see whats up. While the HD was plugged into the router, only windows could access it. (I tried an SMB Client on my phone and it would not access the share either).mcd2000 wrote:There are problems with WD readyshare very often. When I plugged the HDD into my WDTV, the share worked fine and was accessible. Only downside is I need to keep the WDTV on all the time now.

Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox Video Player)
Thanks for confirming. Currently I'm using WDTV Live to stream Media and its a great little media player that plays virtually everything. I will go ahead and purchase GTVBox app as a back up media player and to support mcd2000 as a developer for all the great work he putting into developing and supporting the app. Thanks again !surge wrote:jbloggs wrote:My understanding is that GTVBox can handle mkv and xivd, is that correct? Also will it be able to handle 3D side-by-side video mkv streaming?
I have about 10 - SBS 3D MKVs (Side-By-Side) GTVBox plays them as normal videos... When the TV is set to 3D SBS, it plays them file flawlessly.
I have a Revue so skipping doesnt' work very well, (not a 3D issue, but a MKV issue) but everything else works great.. be sure to turn off subtitles since they don't convert.

Yeah the wwdt is great when you put different firmware. Also was mistaken about having to keep it powered on. Seems to stay connected to the network either way. since the revue doesn't play dts I need to use thewdtv event now and again anyway.jbloggs wrote:Thanks for confirming. Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox Video Player)
GTVBox Video Player v.0.8 is released!
It has slightly improved design of playback screen. It now has mouse controlled buttons for Play/Pause, seeking back/forward and also controlling audio track and subtitles. More coming soon.
It also shows some logos for video/audio format being played (like H.264 or DTS).
There are serious playback improvements:
Sony users can now seek forward over an MKV file and subtitles will still be available. Also, MKV parser is now faster and more stable.
There are known problems on Google TV with DIVX/DX50 FOURCC not being supported in AVI files. GTVBox is fixing that. So, some AVI files that you were not able to play on your GTV should work now.
SMB streaming looks like to be a main feature of GTVBox since the beginning. Now, it is also little more stable while streaming.
Bonus: clock at the top can be switched 12/24 hours mode in the settings.
Many bugs fixed, some new bugs may be introduced. If you have something broken from this version, please write me to [email protected] as soon as possible!

Is it possible to disable the Subtitle outline?
