Confirmed Working Apps
Re: Confirmed Working Apps
If you're looking for a functioning email app, Enhanced Email 1.2 works great. I set up my work IMAP account on it in no time. Gmail should work through pop settings too I'd imagine.
Re: Confirmed Working Apps
The more app I try to side load the more I find that as long as it has landscape mode it will work.

I too am connected via WiFi and get the same results...txyaloo wrote:Negative. You have to be connected via Wifi for Plex to even see the Plex server. Under ethernet, it doesn't sense a network connection.davpel wrote:There are reports elsewhere that Plex will work properly if you are connected over WiFi, but that video will not stream if the GTV is connected via Ethernet. How is your GTV set up?MarFan wrote:
I also was able to load Plex, everything worked except for the streaming of a video.
Once you connect to the server, files won't play. Not sure exactly what's going on. The Plex logs look like transcoding starts, and then it just abandon's the process.

Re: Confirmed Working Apps
I haven't been able to get any other browser other than the stock chrome to load :/ Oh well.
I've tried:
Firefox 5 for android
Skyfire
Dolphin HD
Dolphin for Pad Beta (which works on honeycomb tablets)
Haven't tried opera mobile but I imagine the same result. Firefox force closes immediately. Same with skyfire. Dolphin HD force closes after stating no portrait mode. Dolphin for Pad (which I was hopeful to work) force closes with an unknown error.
All in an effort to use flash 10.3 instead of the built in 10.2 for chrome which has the version tag of GTV 10,2 etc. which prevents you from watching Hulu.

Yeah - X Scope installs and runs fine, but you still can't watch Hulu. Only instead of registering that you're using Google TV, it says Flash isn't even installed! I tried downloading and side-loading the Flash 10.3 apk, but it doesn't seem to integrate with X Scope.

Ah ok I forgot that one. Yeah, Dolphin supports flash, some of the other browsers don't though. Browser needs to support the flash player apk/plugin in order to bypass the default one baked into chrome.jd567890 wrote:Yeah - X Scope installs and runs fine, but you still can't watch Hulu. Re: Confirmed Working Apps
The pre-installed Chrome2TV app is working well.
You need to set it up in the Android settings menu, and also need the chrome2phone extension in your chrome browser.
Just wish they had a Phone2TV variant... :/
