Thanks, this works for me as well!mcd2000 wrote:Temp workaround of the auth issue is to put login/password into address.
Like: smb://login:password@ipaddress. And empty login and password fields.
Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox Video Player)
@mcd2000 - if you're bored and looking for stuff, here's some more suggestions
1 - my son (who's 3) likes my Windows media center (2005) because each of his movies has a thumbnail so he can run up to the TV and point to the picture he likes. It would be cool if your movie listing has a thumbnail view instead of the text view (or even better, the thumbs, with the text).
2 - it would be cool if the player would auto-pull meta data on the movie from online sources like IMDB, etc so that the user wouldn't have to pre-load the stuff with ThumbGen and such.
All in all I enjoy the product. I'm slowing converting my video content to MKV so I can switch over to my Revue as my primary media consumption device... and your product will be my top video choice.
Keep up the great work!

Love the app and glad there is still progress being made on it. I just updated to the newest build, and I see the navigation has changed. Is there a way to go back to the old navigation? I find this makes me scroll way too much, and I liked the grid layout better than the list layout.

Go settings and disable covers and sheets support. Player will switch to 2-column navigation which is close to what has been before.slyder0244 wrote:Love the app and glad there is still progress being made on it. How about enabling type-ahead to address the scrolling issue? This would let you type the first few letters to find the movie you want to play.

Able to stream from sideloaded icestream apk now!
Thanks!
Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox Video Player)
I'm looking forward to the upgrade. Just a note, I had trouble upgrading last time. I found it easier to uninstall and start over.
Can anyone point me to info about icestream in general? I assume it has something to do with shoutcast or icecast?
Thanks!
