I also picked up a NeoTV Prime in Target on Dec 27th. I rooted with the PrimePwn.zip file extracted to a USB, but Hulu still doesn't work. It redirects to huluplus, and it shows in the status bar that recognizes the platform as googletv.
The rooting went fine, restarted few times and the SuperUserSU app showed up.
Is there something wrong with the rooting file, that it didn't replace flash with a custom flash player?

Thanks.

Yes, I already did that:
Chrome Options > Settings > Advanced Settings > Under the Hood > then scrolled down to User Agent section and chose "Generic User Agent"

Still when I try to go to www.hulu.com, it redirects to:
http://www.hulu.com/plus/mobile?platform=googleTV
and it shows a big advertisement page.

If you're already rooted just add the custom user agent string.

I only tested this on the current release (build 1.1.45)

If it works on other builds please post your results in my thread.

Thanks. The custom user agent worked.
Now it doesn't detect the platform as GoogleTV, but I have a new problem, thanks to another restriction of Hulu. I am in Canada and it recognizes my location.
I guess I need to find a way to browse through a proxy.
Does the Chrome on this device allow to enter a proxy server? I haven't seen it in the settings.

Thanks.

Ok, I passed the proxy problem (with smartdnsproxy), so I can access the Hulu site now, but it still doesn't work.
When I try to play a movie, it says:
"Hulu requires Flash Player 10.1.53.64 or higher. Please download and install thr latest version of Flash Player before continuing".
Since I am using the custom flash from the rooting, I don't think that is an option.
Is there a newer version of that custom flash?

Thanks.

Groupon has the NTV300 (refurb) for $29.99 with free shipping.

Cheers!

Smartdnsproxy is not free anymore, but anyway Hulu requires a newer flash.
Anyone has a rooting package with a newer custom flash?

Well, I have done this root and now Chrome is crashing. Play Movies, Vimeo, and other applications crash too. If I change the home screen to the multiple big icons dashboard, the manager crashes and it impossible to use the device.

Any ideas?

How to remove the root and / or flash the original firmware back?

I have tried the option to remove the root from SuperSu, but no success...
