Root instructions???

I recently purchased the Vizio Co-Star from Walmart. I had a $50.00 gift card and it was just sitting there begging to be bought. So far I'm happy with the purchase and it works better than I expected. My biggest gripe right now is that I can't ROOT it. I've side loaded plenty of apps into it already, but I have a deep desire to figure out a way around the broadcast networks blocks that in place against Google TV.
After searching online I've ended up here since I saw that there was a picture posted that root was achieved on the Co-star nearly 8 months ago, yet for whatever reason I can not find any instructions anywhere on how to achieve this. Was the exploit used patched or is there another reason to why it hasn't publicly been released?
