OK, first I'm newbie, trying to use explanation from
http://www.gtvhacker.com/index.php/Expl ... g_for_Root
everything was going well (I have connection between PC and NSZ-GS7, reboot few times NSZ-GS7 thru my PC), but my problem starts with...

#5 Select "/data/local/tmp/busybox telnetd -p 8899 -l sh" from the drop down menu and click start. If the command execute successfully, you may proceed, if not troubleshoot your connection and try again.

Only thing that I get from Cydia Impactor (drop down menu) is:
# drop SuperSU su to /system/xbin/su
# start telnetd as root on port 22
# start telnetd as system on port 2222
# change HTC One X CID
echo ro.kernel.qemu=1 >/data/local.prop
echo do nothing [this is not an error]

What I'm doing wrong?!!

Thank You upfront!

you can write in the text box!

just copy "/data/local/tmp/busybox telnetd -p 8899 -l sh" and paste it in the text box of cydia impactor. That's all !

Thank You "dln"

i'll try to explain you, but i'm a newbie like you and i don't speak well english!

So first you need to connect your nsz-gs7 with your PC with cydia impactor.

First you may put in the params of your nsz-gs7, the IP of your computer in the "debugger IP"

When it do, you launch "cydia impactor" on your pc. ok

Now you go in "bridge" -->"connect" In the box that appear's put the IP of your nsz-gs7 (you can find it in settings-->network-->status) your Pc must says "successfouly connected to "ip of your google box"

Now in the text box of cydia impactor you paste "/data/local/tmp/busybox telnetd -p 8899 -l sh" and start

After choose "device" and "open shell"

a box open whith this symbol "$" that says your not root for the moment

then copy/paste "/data/local/tmp/busybox telnet localhost 8899" (without the ") and enter

you must see the $ become a # so you are "temp root"

Do not afraid, i made it many times so i don't think you can brick your box at this time

Whith this temp root you can't do many thinks, it's better to be "static root" but i can't help you more

to be static root you must to fallow the post in this forum

I actually get the same error as this guy: "link failed File exists". I've pasted the command into the dropdown textbox and clicked Start many times. I've also rebooted the device.

It does briefly look like something is happening on the TV, but afterwards it comes back with the error and nothing else happens. Cydia Impactor makes it as far as the "Waiting to complete" step where it sits for a few seconds before giving the "link failed File exists" error.

I'm using Saurik's busybox if that makes a different. Also, if I launch a shell through Cydia Impactor, I can run commands, so I know I'm connected. I just can't get past the "link failed File exists" error.

It seems I've found the answer to my own question:
www.cydiaimpactor.com wrote:Some devices are also patched against the second stage now used to get root; devices that are patched will show "link failed file exists". (This second stage was made possible due to help from @giantpune.)
So apparently Sony released an update and the NSZ-GS7 is now patched against this.

Is there a way to undo or work around this patch? Would a reset do the trick?
