Hi guys I bought this units about a year ago I bought it mainly because I wanted to watch TV from my home country and at the beginning was fine. However since the beginning of the year I can no longer watch the channels due to popups taking over on my screen when clicking to expand the image to full screen. I have gone through the units settings and there is nothing I can do about it. here are the webpages I normally go to.

http://www.salvatruchos.com/tv

http://www.amolatvhd.com/

Every time I go to either webpage I am able to watch the channels as part of the wegpage itself only, but when I click on the videoplayer to enlarge the video and make it fit into my tv a popup complete takes over and there is no way to close it. My question is simple is there a way to close the popups on the NSZ GS7?.

I raised a question on the Sony website and they say the problems lays with google chrome on the NSZGS7, apparently it is a very basic browser version and not the real deal as the one people download from the net.

Is there any way around this issue???

Well, the best I can say (and it's not a good answer) is to wait for Jellybean. It should be the fix-all (at least mostly).

Ironically, Chrome is actually an older, fully featured version of your Desktop's Chrome, but crippled and locked down, so it comes off as "basic".

However, if you are really interested in a challenge -there might be a fix if you are up for some programming. Basically, setting up a webserver locally that will query the page, and strip out the ads, then pass them to your GTV. Not a 100% chance of that working, but if you are bored and have the skills, otherwise I suggest waiting for Jellybean.
