I just tried rooting my new NSZ-GT1 and bricked it. Pretty sure I failed at step #9 - Press 0 (after using USB3). Instead pressing 0, I flipped the power off and tried entering recovery mode. Dead as a door nail.

Tried restoring using the latest exploitable USB file - nope. Again, no response. He's dead Jim.

@Xenofex, I think I need your services. I tried PM-ing you, but the forum told me that I couldn't use the feature until I participated more.

I sent you a pm with my email, contact me and I'll do what I can.

Thanks,

Has a workaround been done for those who installed the patched update?

Hi all,

It seems I'm a bit late to the party. I have a few questions, if someone can help out I'd really appreciate it.

1) How can I tell which dated version of 3.2 I have on my NSZ-GT1 blu-ray player?

2) I saw on the blog that there is a guide to downgrade for the exploit, is that still good if the device was updated with the exploit patch?

3) If I purchase a new NSZ-GT1 that has the older firmware (prior to 3.2), how can I update to the exploitable 3.2?

Help is appreciated.
