The four .img files are actually copies of the needed USB drives. In order to use these .img's you need to write the image directly to the thumbdrive using a utility like "dd" (for which there is a guide on using in the Readme.txt or on our wiki). Simply placing the .img files on the 4 thumb drives will not work! Other than that however no code needs to be rewritten or altered.

Yeah I'm also trying to figure out how to load .apk from a usb drive. Like the others said the option for unknown sources installation is missing. I think it's a pretty important feature.

The only problem I've run across is that it doesn't seem to keep my overscan settings. The video signal being passed through the GTV box is full screen just like it used to be, but the actual Android UI is still at the pre-calibrated size. I've completed the calibration portion 3 times so far but end up with the same result.

Great work, got it installed very easily.

Couple things
side loading now apparently requires adb? Others had noted the unknown sources box is gone.
HULU? is there something I need to do to get this to work? When I go to hulu it tells me I'm on google tv still.

EDITED: ok changed my user agent in chrome and now hulu works!!

Thanks for the tip, but what is the user agent string you are using to make Hulu work?

Do you need to connect to a PC and adb to side load?

it's not good or bad, it's basically the same, it just opens up the system for modifications. If you have no reason to want root or any of the current mods then don't do it. I'm sure their will be better updates coming soon along with some cool mods.

The most complicated part of this is getting the volume info correct when you DD the images. Other than that Just follow the instructions EXACTLY. I know I hate following canned instructions that I don't personally understand, but in cases like this that is exactly what you need to do.
