I am using a mac. I formated the usb sticks back to stock fat partition, then unmounted each and followed the terminal commands in the instructions.

The write appeared to be successful, showing the bytes in and out.

Tried using the usb sticks in the tv and it just comes back that it can't find any information on the usb stick to upgrade from.

Not sure what is going on, buy my system says that it is on version 3.2.

OK, it looks like I made the mistake of updating the tv, right when I plugged it in for the first time.

the system reads: 3.2_2012022201

Go to http://whatsmyuseragent.com/ on your computer and just put in exactly what you see there. Remember that you must reboot your GTV box before it takes effect.

Let's just put it out there. Do not setup your internet connection until after you do the hack. The update will immediately. Happen and you r done. If u need 3.2 get it manually. Now can any development. People out there tell me where the filesystem. Is defining it's uid. Cause it sure isn't in the non existent acct. Dir. Losing my mind just to see how this FS even functions without the root group being defined.

Has anyone had any luck manually updating a "virgin" NSZ-GT1? I'm starting to think the problem is that the box has never been configured and is missing certain files. I know that setting up the box will update it to the exploit fix, but I am unable to update via USB in recovery mode. No matter what thumb drive I try I get an error. Does anyone have another copy of the 3.2 update or at least a hash check for the download from this site?

I can not believe that i bought this tv on the night they rolled the patch out. Really?

Anyway, the user agent mod doesnt work for hulu, as i am sure is common knowledge.

what developers are working on exploits? Are the developers on these forums?

Not familiar with gtv, only android, where they hack these things pretty fast.

Almost tempted to swap the tv, although these units are not in stock anymore.

package_list_DMA-1_EAGLE_2012012601_WWV_ORSC.59a98856.zip

needs to look like that ^ in order to flash upgrade or it will error

and that sucks man with your tv, try taking it back for a refund and say you didnt like it or have your eyes on a cheaper model some where else.

Success! Thanks for the help, icezer0z. After renaming the update everything went smooth. I used Win32DiskImager to make my 4 USB sticks, I highly recommend it as it made the process very simple.
