Not in near future. There is a lot of work on video playback there.

Thanks just downloaded the previous version from the link a few posts back. If it works good for me I'll be sure to buy the official version from the Market. I have been looking for a way to get around the DLNA crap since I got my GTV.

I own the Sony GTv bluray player. I am frustrated with its lack of supported playback files. Mostly, I want to play my .mov files from my video camera. Will this app allow me to play those files on this devise? I am getting the impression that it will only allow me to play the files that this devise can natively decode and although it has the capability of playing .mov, it won't unless the player supports it. Anyway, If it plays .mov on this device, I will purchase it.

Thanks

Yes. It plays natively supported formats. Google TV 2.0 supports MOV container, but video/audio codecs are also important. My Revue plays some mov files, but not all of them. Anyways, you can sideload the player from player.gtvbox.net and test it. I do not own a Sony device, so any reports from Sony owners are greatly appreciated.

The first one is Multicast IPTV player. Not what you need.
I didn't upload to Dropbox since it was cleared. So you better get the player here: http://player.gtvbox.net/downloads
Sure, you need at least leaked beta of Honeycomb to install apps.

There were several release updates on Dropbox like 0.01, 0.03, etc.

I've read on googletvforums that Sony Bluray box is able to play files with DTS sound. Is anyone able to test this? Thanks.

First off I would like to say this is an amazing app! I have a WD and used it for all my media playing with a 2 TB USB drive. However the Revue decided to try and fix the drive while wiping the MBR... Sucks.. so I just ordered a ReadyNAS with a 2.5 TB drive in it to restore all my data to..

That's the history..

Now the questions....

Are there plans to support DTS?

I have a couple movies with different audio tracks. and tried to hit O.. But when doing so the app force closes. Any one reported this bug yet?

I do notice it stuttering when trying to play MKV's, es file explorer plays them fine but with no audio. Is this a known issue also?

Any help with this would be great!!! I am buying the app right now so I can show my support/receive updates. Let me know. Thanks!
