I just recently learned about Plex using plugins with GTVBox. Saw mention of the LetMeWatchThis plugin, I've been reading and I just don't understand how to set this up and how it works with GTVBox. I have the Plex server running on Windows PC and GTVBox on Google TV. Can someone please help me with a step by step guide on how to get this setup and working?

TIA

Hi,

I played the same files using NSZ-GT1 box and they play fine.

Well... I still don't have this device. I'm expecting to get it in a month.

Do you mean that all MKV files do not play? Or some specific files?

I've got some reports saying that most files actually work. I can issue refund for you, if you write mail to [email protected].

I don't need a refund. I like your application. Tested some files. Only some MKV files are not playing. Looks like the files which are not playing have DTS audio in them. Same with .VOB files. One with DTS did not play and one with AC3 played fine. Here is some "MEDIA INFO". I looked at the Specs of the Sony NSZ-GS7 and it supports DTS. Looks like you need to get the box to test and add compatibility. (Please comment)

Hmm... I remember that Revue played files with DTS, but without sound (I mean it didn't show error).
Are you REALLY sure GS7 should support DTS?

This specs mention AC3/DD, but not DTS. If you have some printed specs with the box, could you please scan/photocopy it?

Do you have some file which has both AC3 (or some other compatible) and DTS tracks? If no, I could send you something.

Could you, please, send me logcat of failed playback event? How to do this see here: http://player.gtvbox.net/sendlog

I got confused between Dolby and DTS. I was assuming both are the same. I did some google and I know they both are different.
However the 1st Generation Sony Google TV at my friends place has GTVbox installed and plays the same files which I am not able to play. Does GTVbox convert them to PCM OR AC3 OR Dual channel etc and play the files in that? Will something similar be done in future for the NSZ-GS7

OK. Let make it clear. First of all, GTVBox does not do any sound processing (it is just not possible). It just plays what your device can decode.
There are basically to main audio formats for movies: Dolby Digital (aka AC3) and DTS. There also HD sound formats, but they are just extensions of these two.
DTS licence is expensive, so it is, basically, only supported when it is really needed. 1st gen Son Blu-ray box needs DTS licence to play BD and DVD. So, it is also supported by GTV OS as a bonus.
Sony TV does not support DTS, because it does not make sence for Sony to pay for it. The same is with Logitech Revue.
So, I suppose Sony NSZ-GS7 does not support DTS, because of licensing issues.

However, LG TV has DTS support....

I can also add that even if I was able to implement DTS decoder in GTVBox myself, I think I can not put such app to Google Play store because of the same licensing issues.

I'm looking for following features - not sure whether they already exists..

Upon pressing the play button on the remote, it automatically adds all the songs in the folder as a play list. When that feature is available, it is good to have the following ones -

1. Shuffle play from the play list
2. Once the zoom setting is set on one song, it should remain on all the songs in the play list. It is currently losing it and I need to press on "Z" button for each song :-(

Not sure whether these features are good to have or even possible with GTVBox Video Player.
