I get Media Player Error - Sorry, GTVBox was unable to play this media. The file that I'm trying to play is mp4. Some of the mp4 files plays just fine, but some don't. Any idea?

I'm using Sony blu-ray player with Google TV.

Scur wrote:I searched through the posts here page by page (since I couldn't get the search to work for me right) and am still confused. I know Vista and Android, but am a noob about networks. Can you spell out for me (since I can't really figure out exactly what a share name is) how to stream from my videos folder (which is open for anyone on my network to access) on my PC running 32 bit Vista to GTVBox on my Revue? I've tried all kinds of combinations of stuff, and tried creating a workname, and GTVBox detects nothing automatically. I really like the player, especially the diversity of formats it plays, but for the time being I have to put stuff on my thumbdrive and move it back and forth.

edit: I followed some of the stuff I read in this boxee thread. http://forums.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t ... #post20200
I created an account in vista and shared permissions with it as co-owner, but still can't quite get things right. I know it's just lack on knowledge on my part, but can't figure out what I'm missing.

That's it. 3 Hours to fail at what everyone else can do, screw that, guess I'm stuck with using the thumbdrive to watch mkv files. Freaking sucks.
Did you try using Add windows share option and pitting IP of your PC into Smb:// field? If so, what error do you get?

Hmm.. looks similar. :-)
Don't compare with VLC. It plays almost anything that you could imagine broken. :-)

There is an app here: http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/ Try to make report with it. Maybe we can find the issue.

What is the best/easiest way to get the Movie covers/sheets without having to download each one individually?

You can use Thumbgen. You can tag all your files at once.
