I think, It would be filename.jpg when you hover filename.mkv and cover.jpg when you hover a folder.deviousrich wrote: could it be same name or cover.jpg? i just know a number of other media players use cover.jpg so having both would be A+, dont get me wrong though having filename.jpg would still be brilliant!

got it! thanks for the quick response.
Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox Video Player)
hmm.. how odd.
When I was on userdebug, i was able to use ES file explorer, choose a video file and then be able to select which player I would want to use (GTVBox being one of them)
Now since the official update, I do not get GTVBox as an option, but instead, i need to use the gtv box app to browse my files and play it through that.
also, waiting on hardcoded subtitle support...
basically copy the crap out of mobo player like others have said

Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox Video Player)
Wow. I will check opening from 3rd party apps. But remember, that if you open for ex. SMB file from ES Explorer in GTVBox, you will not get some new features (like MKV subtitles) as they only will work over GTVBox internal SMB proxy. That does not mean that I'am against browsing in 3rd party apps... but some things are easy to implement, when you control both player and internal proxy.hitokiri wrote:hmm.. how odd.

Update: Checked. ES really does not allow to select player, when streaming over smb. Only for local files. When I open local file GTVBox is displayed.

Re: Problem playing .mkv from USB
It did play in 2.1 (without sound), not now under3.1 at all.mcd2000 wrote:Wow... Try to play it using Logitech Media Player.
Technically, the Logitech player tries to index everything, and gets overloaded quickly (Even after having indexing switched off... )
Could it be due to file size (>4gb)? The drive is ntfs, 1T.

I have no NTFS drive to test, sorry. I play everything over the network.wavekiter wrote:It did play in 2.1 (without sound), not now under3.1 at all.mcd2000 wrote:Wow... Try to play it using Logitech Media Player.
