I just added a great classic game to the drop-box folder, Duck Hunt, it works best on the Logitech Revue.

if you sideload an app will google play allow you to update it to the latest version?

here are several things to consider:
1) is app available in GTV google play market?
2) is app FREE or $$? (I understand that $$ apps won't update without being purchased, same on my phone)

I ask because we 'host' many apps which are free but NOT current. Unless there is a reason to stay with an old version, I like to keep my apps up to date.

If you side load an app on the GTV, you must go through the task of updating the apk on your own, then sideloading the new apk.

You can not update an app on your GTV if it is sideloaded (not compatible)
