sound on Optical and HDMI

Post by tidhar.mor »

I don't know if this is a feature or a bug.
My Cable box is connected to the Revue with HDMI and the Revue is connected to the TV with HDMI.
I get sound on my TV Speakers and everything works fine.
Today I also plugged the Optical cable from the Revue to my AV Receiver.
Now I get sound on my AV Receiver speakers, but at the same time I still get the sound on my TV.

Did I connect something wrong, or is there a setting somewhere to tell the Revue where to direct the sound?

I have mine set-up a little different.
I have my optical running from my TV to my AVR, and no sound comes out of my TV.

I know this is an old thread, but just in case the OP still checks it...........
Turn the TV audio down before you switch to your AV receiver.
The HDMI cable transmits audio as well as video, so you'll get audio from your TV along with the audio from your reveiver.
