Can I go back?

Post by shieb »

Hey there folks...

So I flashed 3.1 without incident and at first it worked great. The "TV & Movies" function actually listed shows, the interface is vastly superior to the stock one and I was happy with it even after this function stopped working a while ago.

I recently moved and when I hooked my GTV back up it started rebooting somewhat randomly, and pretty often, when watching TV or streaming media from my laptop. Since this is my main use for the GTV I'm nearing the point of unplugging this bad boy.

After reading that Google will be releasing the official GTV "2.0" in 3-4 weeks I wondered what I'd have to do to go back to the stock OS. Is it possible? If so, is it a matter of flashing an "update.zip" file over 3.1? I imagine that this would cause problems.

Thanks for any advice you may have :-)

I'm pretty sure they said you can't go back and that if you attempt to flash back it will brick. That link does give us a way to upgrade to the official software when it comes out if for some reason the OTA fails.
