I upgraded my revue to user debug HC 3.1. Now when I connect my external harddisk 1 TB to watch movies, now its start doing indexing and after 10-15 minutes its throwing memory exception and restarting. This 1 TB hard disk had thousands of songs, small files etc.
Can someone tell me how to stop indexing external harddisks.
If I connect with Pen drive 4 GB with just one file, i can watch movie happily.
any inputs appreciated.
thanks
Kalyan

Re: stop indexing
Yahoo... i spent lot of time in reasearch, finally i found super workaround for this, but it needs some exercise and work -
Now i am able to watch movies from my 1 TB drive happily
If anyone want to try-
1. upgrade to Honeycomb 3.1 Beta (you will lose Logitech revue warranty, please do at your own risk)
2. Install two apps - Blackmoon File browser, Avia media player
3. select avia media player as default for usb drives (after restart pop-up will come and ask for usb default for avia, check box)
4. now navigate thru blackmoon file browser and play movies with avia. Revue will never crash and i ran 8 movies continuously overnight for testing, even in morning tv playing 7th movie. No crash, no errors...
I am glad of little brain
even on honeycomb 3.1, if you open Logitech media player, it will start indexing all my thousands of files on 1 TB disk and crash after 15 minutes. then it will restart.
from above posts i understand, there is no way to stop indexing on logitech player. So that is logitech player problem, not google TV/revue. So use other media players they dont do index. super idea rightt
glad i purchased revue, now 80% of times, i dont have to open laptop.
thanks
