Connecting via USB->TTL to fix borked honecomb install

Post by divergent »

Back story: Installed the first honeycomb leak, got it to boot and only went part way through the install - I stopped right when it asked me for my Google account details. From there, I pulled the power and then try to install the 2nd leak and have not been able to get past the Logitech logo. I have tried many variations of the boot to recovery voodoo to no avail.

I know the root bug was fixed by Google a while ago, however can you still get shell access via USB->TTL ? I am thinking I could get past whatever boot error is occurring if that still works. Has anyone tried this on a bricked revue? I can pick up an Adruino, just trying to find out if it is worth trying.

The USB TTL device connects to the UART on mobo. The UART is disabled in the newer firmware builds, so you now have nothing to communicate with, sorry...
