Honeycomb on google tv is deff the best thing ever. I have been using the second honeycomb leak for 6 hours without a single bug. The only minor problem is that there aren't many apps in the market. But even thats not a big deal. Because what did was copy the apks from all my apps on my rooted phone to the sd card using root exploerer. then I put the apks onto a usb drive and connect it to my google tv. then I use a file manager i downloaded from the market and install most of the apps from my phone. So far I managed to install pulse news reader, facebook app, home manager to switch between stock and launcher pro,and even google music beta. I tested them all and they all work perfectly

yschoueri wrote:Thanks so much, that worked!!! but it still didn't fix my problem :( I tried using another usb key, using the other usb port and yet this is still my end result, I took a very short video and posted it on youtube to show the problem more clearly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDNsRojG02I
has anyone else had this problem, is the update corrupted, would anyone know of a solution?

thanks :)
If you think the update you downloaded is corrupt, i have uploaded the first Update.zip and the second OTA update into the local DropBox, i had no problem with the installs,i used them on a couple of Revue boxes and they worked fine. Also, somewhere in the forums, i looked but couldnt find it, someone mentioned reformatting your usb stick using a program other than windows.

Could someone please let me know if the logitech video chat app works on honeycomb? I really want to upgrade but need to video chat with my sister on my nieces birthday, so I just want to make sure that works properly since there is no going back. Much appreciated.

Can you please explain which step helped you,was it the download that was corrupt,or did you format your usb using a program other than Windows?

If it helped you it may help other people having the same problem.
Thanks

Still finding that I cannot stream any video files from my PC with this build. Anyone else noticed this, or have any idea how to fix it? it worked just fine in 2.1... very frustrating.

File type doesn't seem to matter.

Appreciate any input!

@killer4110
Here is a list of what I did
- Formatted my usb key to make sure there weren't any hidden files on it
- Redownloaded the update.zip file
- Removed all hdmi cables from the revue and put them back in because it's possible while i was moving the revue around unplugging it and all they may have moved

Not sure which one fixed it but it works beautifully now and I absolutely LOVE it!!!

I just have one question, I set up my keyboard to control my set-top box and so the back and more option buttons don't give me the GTV results, instead they control the set-top box which is normal. So now, even though I turn off my set-top box, GTV never goes into sleep mode. Any way around this?

Have you tried using TVersity with the ffdshow codes? Which OS are you using?
I have a win-7 64-bit machine and I installed the TVersity server with the ffdshow codecs and media player is working great.

The only thing i can suggest is you start over, alot of people have had issues, including myself.

1) Try re-formatting the usb using a program other than windows.
2) Try downloading the "update.zip" from a different source.

Thats all the tech info i have to offer, thats my limit of expertise, lol
