I am not familiar with the Sony, i have a Revue.

There are two ways to install apps that i use.
1) You can email the apk to yourself and then open your email on the TV and download it.
2) You can install Dropbox on your TV, make a backup of the apk, put it in your Dropbox account on your phone or PC, then open it on your TV.

Those are my two ways of installing, maybe some do it a different way....

The email is very clever and sounds good - I will report what happens when I get home tonight

Would anybody be able to post the Google Calendar apk on the Dropbox? I just got the OTA update and I like it, although it seems a bit slow.

Well not really, I have been using some apps confirmed on google tv 2.0 on the official release even added a new one. I added a Better Terminal Emulater Pro, or something.

OK - Just saw the new folder "APKs Confirmed for public GTV2.0"
Time to start loading up!

Tried the Skype app and it did not work. It launches but when you login it says you need to re-download.

Skype.apk in the APKs Confirmed for public GTV2.0 folder

Also tried the Skype-2.1.0.46.apk in GTV->apps

Hello,

I just brought my new device and it is updated to latest relese.

Do i need to root my Revue to install these applications from dropbox ?

If not, how can i install these applications?
Is there dropbox app for Revue?
Also, i want to install arabic keyboard and help on that since all arabic keyboard app can not be installed from android market which came with the Revue.
