Updating to future USB updates from HC "User-Debug" leak

What does it mean if I get this message:

$ ./adb root
adbd cannot run as root in production builds

It's strange cause I can connect to the device without issue, but I can't get this to work. I guess I'm too n00bish to have tried this to begin with.

Ideas?

Try running adb root from your computer itself, then reconnect to your box. Or just type "su" and hit enter (no quotes).

Ok - try su, if not - what (exact) version are you running?

There is your problem. 55579 is not user debug, to get root - you will need to update to it. By it, I mean userdebug.

Dont throw in the towel, you can be up and running with the userdebug version within 5 minutes,it has alot more to offer,plus you have come this far,there is no turning back now.........
