Re: Hisense Pulse: Insecure at launch, accident or message?
Okay, so I ordered a Pulse when I found out about the root access. It should be here on Saturday and I would think it does not have the updated patch. What would be the best steps I go about following the rooting process but NOT having it update before I get it rooted? Also, what about the hardware...

Re: Files needed for NTFS support on Sony GTV
Yes - it does. Of note, it is a bit buggy as well, not the most ideal solution.jbloggs wrote:This would require the Sony GTV (NSZ-GT1) to be rooted before these files could be copied, correct?

Re: US NSZ-GS7 Hardware Question
Are you going by the numbers listed in the settings section? If so, that's cut down a bit. The hardware does feature the ram / flash memory as stated (1GB/8GB). However some of the ram is reserved (graphics, among other things), and at least half of the flash memory is for the running system, kernel...

Re: Hisense Pulse – The Verdict is Accident
Without a custom recovery there won't be any development. How would it be possible to flash any ROM's without a recovery? You technically don't need a custom recovery to install custom roms, furthermore a custom recovery doesn't mean that you can flash custom roms. Look at the Logitech Revue (2.1) ...

Re: Hisense Pulse: Insecure at launch, accident or message?
It may be rooted but when you can't do any root functions is it really rooted??? Not really. It's already been posted in the GTV community. You can't access any root file systems. ES file explorer does not get root access, root manager does not get root access. They actually get granted access from...

Re: Hisense Pulse: Insecure at launch, accident or message?
I only asked because on the Pulse wiki page it says the root can easily be reversed: Disables automatic updates to preserve root (can easily be reversed). I just want to reverse it, get the update and still see if i can gain root again. Thanks... :D Didn't know there was an update out already, but ...

Re: Hisense Pulse: Insecure at launch, accident or message?
First off, no one successfully rooted. Both ways are not providing full root access. The new one can't even run the SuperSU app. To answer the previous question, you can't get the update while using this "root". It disable ota checking. So you can't update and keep root (which we don't re...

Re: Hisense Pulse: Insecure at launch, accident or message?
I just got my system today. Had some issues with it. Had to restart due to the remote not pairing right, but that was only after replacing the 3 AAA’s that were DOA. Still it has a fairly snappy response. As far as root goes I managed to get that just fine with some tinkering… but like helousn, I h...
