I am on the 3.1 User Debug build, with the original HC recovery flashed onto it via adb. (From this thread: http://forum.gtvhacker.com/revue/topic254.html) That is what I was on. What you may find is that you need to 'reflash the recovery' (i.e. add it to the Revue using ADB a second time) in order...

Successfully installed the official update over the debug version. Thank you zenofex...you are the man. Just needed a reflash of that recovery and then alt + L worked like a charm. I'm reasonably new to all of this (revue hacking) but just wanted to double check what reflashing the recovery meant: ...

Are you on honeycomb, and is he on the older os? Mine worked fine until updating to a honeycomb build

I'm in New Zealand so know what you mean. I have the identical issue with Honeycomb (both unofficial releases here). The issue is to do with the HDMI handshake from the tv (I too have a samsung - and have no other brand to tst). Turn your set top box off and then your revue should work correctly, I ...

Liam - you can create a free US itunes account to download region locked apps - just "buy" a free app online, and enter a usa account.

I use my regular gmail address, and add "+1" to it so I still get any emails to my regular one (e.g: [email protected] = [email protected])
