Added the share manually as it still doesn't list the network shares.
I got a message saying "runtime plain password are not allowed" or something and it just hangs for ever with busy icon!
It is mostly Windows issue. Maybe you've reived some update.

Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox/ViMu Player)

Here is another file in .avi format that plays the sound track, displays the .srt subtitles, but all I get for video is a black screen. Anything unusual or not supported about this file? General Complete name : D:\1 - Movies\Moviename 2001\Moviename 2001.avi Format : AVI Format/Info : Audio Video I...

I've tried rebooting the Revue to ensure it wasn't some glitch but still get the "Media playback error"
You would better send me the file (over Dropbox, etc).

Is the issue the Audio track? and if so, what would be the recommended format to convert to.
Audio is just MP3. Should be some other issue with the file.

Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox/ViMu Player)

I also do not like the fact that >| jumps to the next file. Let's say in the future that function will work to navigate MKV chapters, unless I know for sure that my MKV contains chapters, the button behavior will be unpredictable. By the way, most GTVs (Revue, GS7, Co-Star, LG) do not have an easy ...

Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox/ViMu Player)

I'm fine with tweaking MKV files to flag the embedded SRT as forced, or to have an external SRT with "forced" in the name if that is the better way to handle this. Surprise. It should work if you name an MKV embedded sub track "Forced" (first letter capitalized). Actually, MKV files have a special ...

Re: Video player with audio switching (GTVBox/ViMu Player)

I can provide a chapter file if needed...I think they are just XML. Hmm.. I thought we were talking about chapters embedded into MKV containers... I do mean chapters embedded in the MKV containers. Aren't they just XML in the container? I don't know. I use MKVMergeGUI and it handles it like ...

Do you see any other characteristic in the file that would cause it to play the sound, but not the video?
Nope. Video stream seems to be compatible.
