Re: Booting off USB drive

I hate to bring a thread to a hault - but: The Revue does not boot from sda, that is just used for storage (its CHROME:). The kernel (which is signed), boots from the OTHER onboard flash (the Samsung) which is not hooked up as a USB device, and there is a trusted chain of boot, so you can't even rep...

Re: Rooting Logitech Revue

Is there any way to know what state my Revue is in w.r.t. the UART? I purchased a refurbished Revue, so I don't know what build is on it, nor do I know if the UART is still enabled. I don't especially want to open the device and do a bunch of soldering only to find out that it is too late for me to...

Is this possible?
Not SMB, the revue only supports DLNA for now (or, until someone makes an app!)

Re: Just received my Revue in the mail. To root or not to ro

That is the question... Is it still worth rooting to 2.1 now that the HC beta has leaked and progressing? I wanna use my new toy but don't want to void the possibility of rooting if it's still a more worthy solution... If that makes sense? why are folk calling this root.. when it more of an update ...

Mine doesn't seem to want to play ball...
Works fine - did you set in the Developement Menu your Linux Box's IP (and, enable ADB, of course)?

Catch 22, to check the firmware version, you kind of need to update the box (so, don't update the box, just go for the solder!)

Re: How To Set Up Your Revue Running HC3.1 To Use ADB

The stock kernel can't even be dumped right? due to it being RO. Not yet - the kernel partition can't (yet) be read due to no permissions, and it's also encrypted in the update. Yeah I noticed that this time, while trying to unsquash it, boot.img no longer unpacks, have to figure out what encryptio...

Re: How To Set Up Your Revue Running HC3.1 To Use ADB

Thanks for this. All I was missing was the "debugger IP address". I kept typing in the revue's ip address but it never occurred to me to type in the "debugger" ip address... Same thing for me lol. Life just got a lot easier for pushing APK's to the device. Curious to see if we c...
