after getting it back working, i tried the newest leak...only to turn the power off and it hang again. I was able to recover back. One suggestion is to reformat the pen drive and put the files back on. It seemed to make a difference the second/third/fourth time i had to recover it.

start over. as soon as the flash screen went away, the progress bar came up. the whole process was done within 10 mins or so, you should have to wait that long.

ok, figured it out. here is what i did: 1) formatted my pen drive as fat 32 2) placed the first 3.1 update file on the pen drive as update.zip 3) extracted all the files on the pen drive into the root folder with winzip at this point you should have the update.zip and all the files from the update.z...

in the same boat..3.1 beta, power cut out, cant get off the splash screen...
i also have one that is 2.1, power cut out, works no problem.
