Yes, it must be called from a "link apk". I think there are .so lib written in c. I tried installing a "link apk" found on a dropbox account from a guy that shared from vizio co-star, but no success there either.

I just installed this firmware! On a french device, from 20120928.
Netflix is not there. It's present in the zip, so it's blocked in AUS too... but good news for future US updates!

I know how he did it, that's not difficult: you have to be in the same network of the device, and you can intercept the HTTP calls it makes, and then you know the url. It's done using Wireshark, which is a Windows software.

Yes, that's exactly what i thought! i need to wait for future updates: i think i'm on 20120928 or something. Can you confirm you flashed the US version on a EU (UK maybe?) device? I'm on a french one. If anybody out there knows the link / has the zip for the last US firmware version, i'm in need :) ...

Could you give us further information? I tried flashing an OTA update and I got "Package is too old."
